Arran Rossi vs Andy Watts

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 30/01/2036 from Brisbane, Australia:

The Brisbane venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Arran Rossi (46(1) - 7) who hails from Townsville, Australia and Andy Watts(0 - 2) from Brisbane, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Watts throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Watts's ribcage.  
Rossi lands a firm cross.  
Rossi gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Rossi lands a sharp right hook.  
Rossi lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Rossi pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a solid right hook.  
Rossi pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a right uppercut.

Rossi closes the distance and throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Rossi clinches his opponent.  Rossi leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Rossi pushes his forearm into Watts's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Rossi about fouling.  
Rossi advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Rossi lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Rossi lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Rossi walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Rossi pivots from in front of his opponent.  Rossi throws a left uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Rossi ties up his opponent.  Watts tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Rossi's kidney. The referee warns Watts and breaks the clinch.  
Rossi steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Watts is whaling away with hooks, but Rossi keeps his defence tight.  
Watts connects with a right hook.  
Rossi hits home with a solid left hook.  
Watts switches the action to the outside.  Rossi lands an overhand right followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Rossi's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
