Juan Menendez vs Ali Jabbour

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 06/01/2036 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Juan Menendez (33 - 8) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Ali Jabbour(10 - 6) from Karaj, Iran.  

Round 1: 

Jabbour steps to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Jabbour steps inside.  Menendez hits home with a firm left hook.  
Menendez is on target with a left hook.  
Menendez connects with a stinging right uppercut.  
Menendez is looking to keep his distance.  Menendez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Menendez feints a right hook, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Menendez lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  Menendez throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Jabbour steps inside and attempts to land a right uppercut, but Menendez sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Menendez lands a spiteful jab.  
Jabbour advances into close range and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Jabbour is on target with a firm left hook.  
Jabbour pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Menendez is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but Jabbour slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Menendez lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Menendez's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.

Menendez tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab.
