Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 22/12/2035 from New York City, USA:

The New York City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ian Smith (26 - 7) who hails from New York City, USA and Ian Dorward(1 - 4) from Albuquerque, USA.

Dorward quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Smith lands a sharp cross to Dorward's body.

Smith is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Smith walks Dorward down, trapping him on the ropes.  Smith quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Dorward connects with a cross.  Dorward attempts to land a jab, but Smith dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Dorward gets on the inside.  Smith voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Dorward steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.

Dorward steps inside and throws a left uppercut, but Smith clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Smith pushes his forearm into Dorward's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Smith about fouling.

Dorward advances into close range.  Smith is on target with a right hook.  
Dorward is looking to close the distance.  Smith is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Smith lands a jab to Dorward's body.  
Smith lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Dorward is on target with a cross.  
Dorward advances into close range.  Smith lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Smith ties up his opponent.  Smith leans on his opponent using all his weight. Smith uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Dorward behind the head. The ref breaks Smith's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
