Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 19/10/2035 from New York City, USA:

The New York City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Giorgio Zappa (31 - 17) who hails from New York City, USA and Douglas MacEwan(1 - 3) from Lowell, USA.

MacEwan attempts to land a jab, but Zappa blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Zappa is looking to close the distance.  Zappa sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.

Zappa is looking to close the distance.  MacEwan throws a right uppercut, but Zappa ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Zappa pushes his forearm into MacEwan's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
MacEwan pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.

MacEwan lands a firm right uppercut.

MacEwan switches the action to the outside.  MacEwan feints a left hook, and then tries to land a jab, but Zappa slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Zappa closes the distance and drives a powerful left hook into MacEwan's liver.  MACEWAN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  MacEwan quickly recovers. 
Zappa connects with a firm cross.  
MacEwan is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Zappa lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Zappa steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Zappa pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Zappa is looking to close the distance.  Zappa sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Zappa walks MacEwan onto the ropes.  Some sustained pressure from Zappa could be enough to finish MacEwan!  Zappa lands a cross to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND SENDS MACEWAN TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Zappa lands a cross to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, KNOCKING MACEWAN DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  It looks like MacEwan has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
MacEwan is looking to keep his distance.  Zappa hits home with a cross.  
Zappa lands a right hook.  Zappa holds on to his opponent.  Zappa leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
