Cole Thaw vs Paul Wardlaw

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 02/10/2035 from San Antonio, USA:

The San Antonio venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Cole Thaw (21 - 11) who hails from Houston, USA and Paul Wardlaw(0 - 4) from Lafayette, USA.  

Round 1: 

Thaw gets on the inside.  Wardlaw hits home with a left uppercut.  
Wardlaw is on target with a left hook.  
Wardlaw throws a left hook, but Thaw ties up his opponent.  Wardlaw leans on his opponent using all his weight. Wardlaw uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Thaw's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Wardlaw to stop fouling.  
Thaw is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Thaw lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Thaw holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Thaw pushes his forearm into Wardlaw's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Thaw to stop fouling.  
Thaw closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Wardlaw throws a right hook, but Thaw ties up his opponent.  Thaw leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Thaw manouvers Wardlaw onto the ropes.  Thaw connects with a right hook.  
Thaw closes the distance and tries to land a right hook, but Wardlaw blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Thaw lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Thaw steps inside and lands a solid right hook.  
Thaw manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Wardlaw is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Wardlaw throws a left hook, but Thaw ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Thaw quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a firm left uppercut.  
Thaw sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Wardlaw attempts to land a left uppercut, but Thaw sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Thaw hits home with a right hook.  
Wardlaw lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Wardlaw pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a right uppercut.  
Thaw is on target with a jab.  
Thaw pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Thaw is looking to close the distance.  Wardlaw attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Thaw's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Wardlaw lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Thaw lands with a ramrod jab.  
Wardlaw tries to keep the action at long range.  Thaw lands a straight 1 - 2.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Wardlaw's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Thaw is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Thaw gets on the inside.  Wardlaw throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Wardlaw is on target with a firm left hook.  
Thaw steps inside.  Wardlaw is on target with a left hook to Thaw's body.  
Thaw lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Thaw lands a cross.  
Thaw is on target with a sharp jab.  
Thaw is looking to close the distance.  Wardlaw connects with a sharp right hook.  Thaw clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Wardlaw pushes his forearm into Thaw's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Wardlaw about fouling.
