Quin Ruano vs Manny Polon

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 28/09/2035 from Montevideo, Uruguay:

The Montevideo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Quin Ruano (28(2) - 8) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Manny Polon(1 - 2) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  

Round 1: 

Ruano lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Ruano pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Polon finds the target with a solid jab.

Ruano gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Ruano lands with a stiff jab.  
Ruano gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Polon hits home with a cross.  
Polon is looking to keep his distance.  Ruano lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Polon finds the target with a jab.  
Polon steps to the outside.  Polon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Ruano hits home with a cross.  
Ruano closes the distance.  Ruano sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Ruano connects with a left hook.  
Ruano gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Polon lands a sharp jab.  
Polon is on target with a right uppercut.

Ruano steps inside.  Ruano pivots from in front of his opponent.  Ruano lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Ruano ties up his opponent.  Ruano is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ruano to stop fouling.  
Ruano lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Ruano ties up his opponent.  Polon tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ruano behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Ruano walks Polon down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Ruano lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Ruano lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Ruano lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Polon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Ruano lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ruano is looking to close the distance and drives a firm left hook into Polon's body.  
Polon throws a left uppercut, but Ruano clinches his opponent.  Ruano leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Ruano pushes his forearm into Polon's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ruano to stop fouling.

Polon steps to the outside.  Polon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Ruano hits home with a sharp cross.  Ruano attempts to land a cross, but Polon parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Ruano steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Ruano manouvers Polon onto the ropes.  Ruano lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Ruano pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Polon's body.  
Ruano is on target with a stinging left uppercut to Polon's body.  Ruano ties up his opponent.  Ruano is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Ruano uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Polon behind the head. Ruano hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Ruano lands a left uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Ruano walks Polon onto the ropes.  Ruano connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Ruano lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ruano lands a firm left uppercut.  
Ruano lands two left uppercut's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Ruano ties up his opponent.  Ruano leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Polon pushes his forearm into Ruano's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Polon tries to keep the action at long range.  Polon stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Ruano lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Ruano lands a hard jab.  
Ruano forces Polon to retreat into the corner.  Polon tries to land a right uppercut, but Ruano sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Ruano lands a right hook.  Ruano ties up his opponent.  Ruano uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Polon's kidney. 
Ruano lands a sharp right hook.  
Ruano lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Ruano advances into close range.  Polon throws a left hook, but Ruano holds on to his opponent.  Ruano throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ruano about fouling.  
Ruano is looking to close the distance and digs in a sharp right hook to Polon's body.  POLON IS HURT!  
Ruano walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  The right shot from Ruano could be enough to force the stoppage!  Ruano lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS POLON SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  The count reaches 10, but Polon is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Ruano!
