Jay Kalunguji vs Paul Vlok

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 28/09/2035 from Durban, South Africa:

The Durban venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jay Kalunguji (0 - 4) who hails from iBhayi, South Africa and Paul Vlok(12 - 27) from Durban, South Africa.  

Round 1: 

Kalunguji steps inside.  Vlok lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Vlok throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Vlok advances into close range and connects with a stinging right hook.  
Kalunguji throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Vlok closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Vlok sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Vlok is on target with a solid left uppercut.  Vlok ties up his opponent.  Vlok is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Vlok pushes his forearm into Kalunguji's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kalunguji steps away from his opponent.  Vlok attempts to land a cross, but Kalunguji slips the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Kalunguji steps inside.  Vlok throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Vlok holds on to his opponent.  Vlok is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Vlok about fouling.  
Vlok lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Vlok connects with a right hook.  
Vlok pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Kalunguji is looking to close the distance.  Vlok hits home with a right uppercut.  
Kalunguji throws a right hook, but Vlok clinches his opponent.  Vlok leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Vlok's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Kalunguji steps inside.  Vlok lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Vlok lands a jab.

Kalunguji throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Kalunguji's body.  
Kalunguji closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but Vlok ties up his opponent.  Vlok is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kalunguji is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Vlok connects with a solid cross.  
Kalunguji tries to land a left uppercut, but Vlok slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook to his opponents liver.  
Vlok hits home with a firm cross.  
Kalunguji switches the action to the outside.  Kalunguji sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Vlok hits home with a cross.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Kalunguji's trainer is telling his fighter he must go to war on his opponent!

Kalunguji attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Vlok's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Vlok walks his opponent into the red corner.  Vlok hits home with a stinging left uppercut.  
Vlok walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Kalunguji is on target with a solid cross.  
Kalunguji steps to the outside.  Vlok lands a stiff jab.  
Vlok finds the target with a stinging jab.  Vlok attempts to land a left uppercut, but Kalunguji blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kalunguji sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Vlok lands a right hook.  
Kalunguji is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Kalunguji steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.
