Shinji Kubo vs Xeres Rubio

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 10/09/2035 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Shinji Kubo (10 - 19) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Xeres Rubio(1 - 7) from Mendoza, Argentina.  

Round 1: 

Kubo finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Rubio closes the distance and walks Kubo down, trapping him on the ropes.  Kubo throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kubo lands with a stiff jab.  
Rubio manouvers Kubo into the blue corner.  Rubio attempts to land a left hook, but Kubo blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Kubo is on target with a cross.  
Rubio lands a left hook.  
Kubo digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Rubio advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Rubio forces Kubo to back into the ropes.  Rubio attempts to land a jab, but Kubo sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Kubo tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Rubio quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Kubo tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but Rubio slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Rubio steps inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Rubio sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Kubo lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kubo's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Kubo lands a stiff jab.  
Kubo lands a jab to the head, a jab to the body and a cross to the head.  
Kubo steps to the outside.  Kubo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a stinging jab.  
Kubo steps to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Kubo is on target with a solid jab.  
Kubo switches the action to the outside and drives a jab into Rubio's body.  
Kubo switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.
