Fedar Matula vs Franck Meynfroot

Boxing Daily Report from the Riyadh World Boxing Championships 2035,  taking place on 07/09/2035 from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:

The Riyadh venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Round of 32 fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching the broadcast live from around the world, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Fedar Matula (52(3) - 8) who hails from Minsk, Belarus and Franck Meynfroot(24 - 21) from Ghent, Belgium.  

Round 1: 

Matula digs in a solid right hook to Meynfroot's body.

Matula gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  Matula holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Meynfroot pushes his forearm into Matula's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Meynfroot to stop fouling.

Matula sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Meynfroot attempts to land a right hook, but Matula blocks the shot and counters with a weighty right hook to his opponents ribcage.  IT LOOKS LIKE MEYNFROOT WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Meynfroot quickly recovers.
