Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 17/08/2035 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are James Waterson (30(2) - 15) who hails from Fort Lauderdale, USA and Joe Mattox(2 - 21(2)) from Tacoma, USA.  

Round 1: 

Waterson is on target with a stinging cross.  
Waterson finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Waterson drives a left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Waterson digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Waterson connects with a right uppercut.  
Mattox cuts off the ring, trapping Waterson on the ropes.  Waterson lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mattox gets on the inside.  Waterson lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Waterson tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a sharp jab.

Waterson lands a cross, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Waterson is on target with a cross.  
Waterson switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right to the head, a cross to the head and a cross to the body.  
Mattox is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook.  Waterson clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Mattox pushes his forearm into Waterson's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Waterson connects with a firm right hook.  
Mattox steps inside.  Mattox sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Waterson is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
Waterson feints a jab, and then lands a sharp overhand right.  
Mattox throws a left hook, but Waterson holds on to his opponent.  Mattox leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Mattox advances into close range.  Waterson lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Waterson clinches his opponent.  Mattox is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mattox to stop fouling.

Mattox throws a right uppercut, but Waterson holds on to his opponent.  Mattox tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Waterson behind the head. The referee warns Mattox and breaks the clinch.
