Phil Heffernan vs Carlos Lobos

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 05/05/2035 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Phil Heffernan (34(1) - 17) who hails from Saint Paul, USA and Carlos Lobos(6 - 3) from Carolina, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1: 

Heffernan forces Lobos to back into the ropes.  Heffernan throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Heffernan sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but  throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Heffernan time to recover.  
Heffernan advances into close range and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Lobos tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Heffernan digs in a firm right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Heffernan gets on the inside.  Lobos lands a stinging right hook.  Heffernan holds on to his opponent.  Heffernan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Heffernan to stop fouling.  
Lobos quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Heffernan advances into close range.  Heffernan pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lobos sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Heffernan closes the distance.  Lobos connects with a left uppercut.  Heffernan ties up his opponent.  Lobos leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Heffernan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lobos pivots to the side of his opponent, but Heffernan lands a left hook.  
Lobos sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Heffernan finds the target with a jab.  
Heffernan closes the distance and tries to land a right hook, but Lobos slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Lobos throws a left hook, but Heffernan ties up his opponent.  Heffernan uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Lobos behind the head. 
Heffernan pivots to the right of his opponent, but Lobos drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.

Heffernan advances into close range.  Lobos throws a right hook, but Heffernan holds on to his opponent.  Heffernan pushes his forearm into Lobos's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Heffernan.  
Heffernan gets on the inside and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Heffernan digs in a left hook to Lobos's body.  
Heffernan is looking to close the distance.  Heffernan pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Heffernan cuts off the ring, trapping Lobos on the ropes.  Lobos throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Heffernan hits home with a cross.  
Lobos is on target with a jab.  
Heffernan walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Heffernan connects with a right hook.  Heffernan throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.
