Gabriel Monte vs Selestino Anaya

Boxing Daily Report from the Puerto Rico National Finals 2035,  taking place on 11/04/2035 from San Juan, Puerto Rico:

The San Juan venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gabriel Monte (19(7) - 5) who hails from Carolina, Puerto Rico and Selestino Anaya(13 - 8) from Ponce, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1: 

Monte manages to force Anaya onto the ropes.  Monte quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Anaya connects with a left uppercut.  
Monte lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Monte is looking to close the distance.  Anaya lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Anaya attempts to land a right hook, but Monte sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Anaya is on target with a left hook.  Anaya tries to land a left uppercut, but Monte slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Monte walks Anaya onto the ropes.  Monte pivots from in front of his opponent.  Monte throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Monte ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Monte pushes his forearm into Anaya's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Anaya pivots to the right of his opponent.  Anaya tries to land a jab, but Monte slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Anaya throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Anaya hits home with a left hook.  Monte holds on to his opponent.  Anaya pushes his forearm into Monte's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Anaya to stop fouling.  
Anaya sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Anaya tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Monte gets on the inside.  Anaya lands a right hook.  Monte ties up his opponent.  Monte is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Monte to stop fouling.

Anaya throws a right hook, but Monte holds on to his opponent.  Monte pushes his forearm into Anaya's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Monte.  
Monte connects with a stinging right hook.

Monte throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Monte ties up his opponent.  Monte leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Anaya sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Monte digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  ANAYA IS HURT!  
Monte gets on the inside.  Monte is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Monte is on target with a telling right hook to Anaya's body.  DOWN GOES ANAYA!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Monte lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES ANAYA!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Monte lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND DROPS ANAYA TO THE CANVAS!  The ref immediately waves off the fight...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Monte!
