Boxing Daily Report from the Kenya National Finals 2035,  taking place on 26/03/2035 from Kikuyu, Kenya:

The Kikuyu venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Middleweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are David Arikan (3 - 3) who hails from Kisumu, Kenya and Lewis Mmithiaru(13 - 16) from Nairobi, Kenya.

Arikan is on target with a sharp left hook.  Mmithiaru holds on to his opponent.  Mmithiaru is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mmithiaru pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Arikan's body.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Arikan's trainer is telling his fighter to play it safe for the remainder of the fight. Mmithiaru's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Mmithiaru drives a solid right hook into Arikan's ribs.  
Arikan steps to the outside and is on target with a stinging cross.  
Arikan hits home with a sharp overhand right.  
Mmithiaru drives a stinging left hook into Arikan's body.  
Arikan steps to the outside and throws an overhand left, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Mmithiaru is on target with a right hook to Arikan's body.  Mmithiaru clinches his opponent.  Arikan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Arikan.
