Asif Mahdi vs Vishal Bhalla

Boxing Daily Report from the India National Finals 2035,  taking place on 26/03/2035 from Jodhpur, India:

The Jodhpur venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Asif Mahdi (40(3) - 16) who hails from Ahmedabad, India and Vishal Bhalla(4 - 3) from Kanpur, India.  

Round 1: 

Bhalla quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Mahdi steps inside and whips in a hurtful right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  BHALLA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Bhalla recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mahdi lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mahdi drives a sharp right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  Mahdi ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Mahdi pushes his forearm into Bhalla's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mahdi.  
Mahdi drives a sharp left hook into Bhalla's ribs.  
Bhalla lands a stiff jab.  
Mahdi is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Bhalla tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Mahdi lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mahdi pivots from in front of his opponent.  Mahdi drives a left uppercut into Bhalla's liver.  Mahdi holds on to his opponent.  Mahdi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Bhalla pivots to the left of his opponent.  Bhalla tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Mahdi closes the distance.  Bhalla throws a right hook, but Mahdi ties up his opponent.  Bhalla tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Mahdi's kidney. As they grapple, Bhalla pushes his forearm into Mahdi's face.  The ref breaks Mahdi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mahdi lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS BHALLA DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Mahdi steps inside.  Mahdi pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Mahdi lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mahdi closes the distance.  Bhalla hits home with a left hook.  
Mahdi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mahdi drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Mahdi tries to land a right hook, but Bhalla sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mahdi is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mahdi lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Mahdi lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Mahdi holds on to his opponent.  Bhalla is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Bhalla.  
Mahdi digs in a solid left hook to Bhalla's body.  
Bhalla throws a left uppercut, but Mahdi holds on to his opponent.  Bhalla tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Mahdi's kidney.

Mahdi closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Mahdi ties up his opponent.  Mahdi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Bhalla hits the target with a solid jab.  
Mahdi closes the distance.  Bhalla throws a left hook, but Mahdi clinches his opponent.  Mahdi leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Mahdi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mahdi DETONATES a nasty right hook on his opponents face.  BHALLA IS HURT!  
Mahdi is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Mahdi lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head, DROPPING BHALLA TO THE CANVAS!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Mahdi!
