Cody Thoms vs Greg Hoggarth

Boxing Daily Report from the Canada National Finals 2035,  taking place on 14/03/2035 from Gaineau, Canada:

The Gaineau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Cody Thoms (10 - 11) who hails from Markham, Canada and Greg Hoggarth(18(2) - 12) from Ottawa, Canada.  

Round 1: 

Thoms steps to the outside.  Thoms quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Hoggarth tries to land a jab, but Thoms sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Hoggarth lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Hoggarth closes the distance.  Hoggarth pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Thoms is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Thoms lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Hoggarth tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Hoggarth lands a right hook.  
Hoggarth hits home with a left hook.  
Hoggarth forces Thoms to retreat onto the ropes.  Hoggarth digs in a sharp left hook to Thoms's body.  Hoggarth attempts to land a left uppercut, but Thoms blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Thoms strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Hoggarth lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Hoggarth closes the distance and forces Thoms to retreat onto the ropes.  Hoggarth sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Thoms hits home with a solid right uppercut.  
Hoggarth steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Hoggarth throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Hoggarth ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Hoggarth pushes his forearm into Thoms's face.  The ref breaks Hoggarth's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Thoms steps away from his opponent.  Thoms quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Thoms throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hoggarth is on target with a jab.  
Hoggarth manouvers Thoms into a corner.  Thoms lands a solid jab.  
Hoggarth steps inside.  Hoggarth pivots to the left of his opponent, but Thoms lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Hoggarth is on target with a firm right hook to Thoms's ribcage.  IT LOOKS LIKE THOMS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Thoms recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Thoms drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Hoggarth holds on to his opponent.  Thoms uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Hoggarth behind the head. 
Hoggarth steps inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hoggarth steps inside and is on target with a right hook to Thoms's body.  
Hoggarth sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Hoggarth lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Hoggarth ties up his opponent.  Hoggarth leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Thoms switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.
