Hideki Miyoshi vs John Riddel

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 12/01/2035 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Hideki Miyoshi (38(11) - 12) who hails from Chofu, Japan and John Riddel(0 - 7) from Montgomery, USA.  

Round 1: 

Miyoshi drives a sharp right hook into Riddel's ribs.  
Miyoshi closes the distance and walks Riddel down, trapping him on the ropes.  Miyoshi is on target with a right uppercut.  
Riddel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Miyoshi lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Riddel is on target with a jab.  
Miyoshi lands a solid left uppercut.  
Miyoshi is on target with a firm right hook.  
Miyoshi walks Riddel into the corner.  Miyoshi drives a solid right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Miyoshi steps inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Riddel lands a right hook.  
Miyoshi steps inside.  Riddel throws a right hook, but Miyoshi clinches his opponent.  Miyoshi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Miyoshi closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  Miyoshi ties up his opponent.  Miyoshi pushes his forearm into Riddel's face.  The ref breaks Miyoshi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Miyoshi closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Miyoshi clinches his opponent.  Miyoshi pushes his forearm into Riddel's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Miyoshi.  
Riddel is on target with a jab.  
Miyoshi lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Miyoshi gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Miyoshi manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Miyoshi lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Riddel almost instantly recovers. 
Miyoshi lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Miyoshi holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Miyoshi pushes his forearm into Riddel's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Miyoshi.  
Riddel steps to the outside.  Miyoshi finds the target with a jab.  
Miyoshi lands with a solid jab.  
Miyoshi hits home with a right hook.

Miyoshi closes the distance and lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Miyoshi gets on the inside.  Miyoshi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a sharp right hook to Riddel's body.

Miyoshi ties up his opponent.  Miyoshi is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Riddel is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Miyoshi stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Miyoshi lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, KNOCKING RIDDEL DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Riddel now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
