Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 07/01/2035 from Minneapolis, USA:

The Minneapolis venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gareth Thang (21 - 19) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and James Cogan(0 - 1) from Jackson, USA.  

Round 1: 

Cogan tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Cogan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
Cogan hits home with a left hook.  Thang holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Thang pushes his forearm into Cogan's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Thang switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Cogan advances into close range.  Thang connects with a right uppercut.  
Thang steps away from his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Cogan is looking to close the distance.  Thang lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Thang lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Thang lands with a solid jab.  
Thang sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Cogan drives a left hook into Thang's body.  
Thang lands a sharp cross.  
Cogan gets on the inside.  Cogan pivots to the left of his opponent.  Cogan throws a left hook, but Thang clinches his opponent.  Thang leans on his opponent using all his weight. Thang pushes his forearm into Cogan's face.  The ref breaks Thang's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Cogan closes the distance and connects with a solid right uppercut.  Thang clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Cogan pushes his forearm into Thang's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cogan to stop fouling.
