Gareth Dixon vs Arthur Long

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 01/12/2034 from Las Vegas, USA:

The Las Vegas venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Gareth Dixon (27 - 11) who hails from Las Vegas, USA and Arthur Long(1 - 0) from Charleston, USA.  

Round 1: 

Dixon is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Long is on target with a right uppercut.  
Dixon steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Long throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Dixon is on target with a firm left hook.  
Dixon advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Dixon lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Dixon throws a right hook, but misses the target.  Dixon ties up his opponent.  Dixon is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Dixon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Long throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.

Dixon throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Dixon clinches his opponent.  Dixon pushes his forearm into Long's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Dixon about fouling.  
Dixon lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Long throws a left hook, but Dixon holds on to his opponent.  Long is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Long tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Dixon walks Long into a corner.  Dixon lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Dixon lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Long attempts to land a jab, but Dixon blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Dixon steps inside.  Dixon pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Dixon steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Dixon ties up his opponent.  Long is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Long and breaks the clinch.  
Dixon lands a left hook.  
Long lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Dixon clinches his opponent.  Dixon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Dixon steps inside.  Long is on target with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Long's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!
