Kenji Shimizu vs Tony Powell

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 23/11/2034 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Kenji Shimizu (36 - 15) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Tony Powell(0 - 6(2)) from Birmingham, UK.  

Round 1: 

Shimizu connects with a right hook.  
Shimizu pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Shimizu lands a cross.  
Shimizu closes the distance.  Shimizu sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.

Shimizu pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Powell's ribcage.  
Shimizu pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Shimizu pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  
Shimizu lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Shimizu lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Shimizu is on target with a right uppercut.  
Shimizu advances into close range and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Shimizu holds on to his opponent.  Shimizu tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Powell behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Shimizu.

Shimizu pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Powell connects with a right hook.  
Shimizu closes the distance and is on target with a stinging left hook to Powell's body.

Shimizu closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Shimizu's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.
