Nicandro Caragay vs Euan Laverde

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 23/10/2034 from Davao City, Philippines:

The Davao City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Nicandro Caragay (7(2) - 5) who hails from Manila, Philippines and Euan Laverde(0 - 15(1)) from Davao City, Philippines.  

Round 1: 

Caragay is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Caragay lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Caragay ties up his opponent.  Laverde pushes his forearm into Caragay's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Laverde about fouling.  
Laverde sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Laverde attempts to land a jab, but Caragay sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Laverde hits home with a cross.  
Caragay forces Laverde to back into the corner.  Caragay lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Laverde lands a left hook.  Laverde throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
Caragay sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Laverde throws a right hook, but Caragay ties up his opponent.  Caragay is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Laverde is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Laverde is on target with a cross.  
Caragay hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Caragay steps inside and lands a stinging right hook.  
Caragay is on target with a solid right hook to Laverde's body.  
Caragay lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Caragay clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Caragay pushes his forearm into Laverde's face.  The referee warns Caragay and breaks the clinch.

Caragay tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Laverde behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Laverde sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Laverde quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Caragay is on target with a cross.  
Caragay lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Caragay lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Caragay lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Caragay lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Laverde almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Caragay lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Caragay lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND LAVERDE IS DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Caragay!
