Yuichi Suzuki vs Tapio Sulkunen

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 18/08/2034 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Yuichi Suzuki (7 - 4) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Tapio Sulkunen(4 - 1) from Turku, Finland.  

Round 1: 

Sulkunen pivots to the left of his opponent.  Sulkunen tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Sulkunen backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Suzuki is whaling away with hooks, but Sulkunen keeps his defence tight.  
Suzuki gets on the inside.  Sulkunen connects with a left hook.  
Sulkunen is on target with a cross.  
Suzuki digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Suzuki closes the distance.  Sulkunen hits home with a right uppercut.  
Suzuki closes the distance and connects with a solid right hook.  
Suzuki quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a firm cross.  
Suzuki connects with a left uppercut.  
Suzuki gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Suzuki advances into close range.  Sulkunen lands a right hook.  
Sulkunen lands a right hook.  Sulkunen tries to land a cross, but Suzuki blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Sulkunen tries to step out of his opponents range.  Suzuki tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

Sulkunen throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Suzuki's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Suzuki closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Suzuki hits home with a right hook.  Suzuki attempts to land a cross, but Sulkunen parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Suzuki pivots from in front of his opponent and lands with a stiff jab.  
Suzuki is on target with a cross.  
Suzuki is on target with a jab.  
Suzuki closes the distance.  Sulkunen is on target with a right hook.  
Suzuki connects with a stinging cross.

Suzuki hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Suzuki digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Suzuki gets on the inside.  Sulkunen is on target with a right hook.  Suzuki ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Suzuki pushes his forearm into Sulkunen's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Suzuki.  
Sulkunen lands a sharp right hook.  
Sulkunen lands a solid cross.  
Suzuki pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Sulkunen goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Suzuki time to recover.
