Mick McManus vs Jake Dzik

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 09/08/2034 from Boston, USA:

The Boston venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Mick McManus (32 - 10) who hails from Boston, USA and Jake Dzik(4 - 7) from Detroit, USA.  

Round 1: 

McManus advances into close range.  Dzik throws a right hook, but McManus ties up his opponent.  McManus leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks McManus's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
McManus connects with a firm right hook.  
McManus lands a right uppercut.  
Dzik quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Dzik attempts to land a jab, but McManus sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Dzik tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Dzik tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land an overhand left, but McManus sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
McManus gets on the inside.  McManus pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a right hook into Dzik's body.  
Dzik waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  McManus tries to land a jab, but Dzik dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
McManus is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Dzik tries to land a right uppercut, but McManus slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
McManus lands a firm right hook.  McManus goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Dzik time to recover.  
McManus lands a jab.  McManus throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Dzik's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Dzik is looking to keep his distance and throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
McManus is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook to Dzik's ribcage.  McManus holds on to his opponent.  McManus pushes his forearm into Dzik's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures McManus about fouling.  
McManus lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  McManus clinches his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McManus closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
McManus digs in a right hook to Dzik's ribcage.

McManus lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
McManus gets on the inside and is on target with a right uppercut.  
McManus steps inside.  Dzik throws a left hook, but McManus ties up his opponent.  McManus tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Dzik behind the head. Dzik leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Dzik throws a right hook, but McManus ties up his opponent.  McManus leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks McManus's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
