Juan Menendez vs Juan Regal

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 08/05/2034 from Bayamon, Puerto Rico:

The Bayamon venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Juan Menendez (11 - 7) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Juan Regal(10 - 15(1)) from Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  

Round 1: 

Regal quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Menendez is on target with a stinging overhand right.  
Regal closes the distance.  Regal sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Menendez is on target with a solid right hook to Regal's ribcage.  
Regal manages to force Menendez into the corner.  Regal connects with a right uppercut.  
Menendez switches the action to the outside and tries to land a cross, but Regal sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Regal is on target with a firm left hook to Menendez's liver.  
Menendez tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Menendez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Menendez hits home with a firm cross.  
Regal advances into close range.  Menendez lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Menendez hits home with a left uppercut.  Menendez tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Menendez's ribcage.

Regal advances into close range.  Menendez lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Regal advances into close range and walks Menendez down, trapping him on the ropes.  Regal sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Regal attempts to land a right uppercut, but Menendez blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Regal advances into close range and lands a sharp right hook.  
Regal advances into close range and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Regal steps inside.  Regal sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Regal lands a sharp left hook.  Regal throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Regal closes the distance.  Menendez lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Regal closes the distance and drives a solid right hook into Menendez's body.  
Regal lands with a solid jab.  Regal tries to land a cross, but Menendez slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Regal advances into close range.  Regal pivots to the left of his opponent, but Menendez lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.
