Sam Penate vs Charles Jernigan

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 24/03/2034 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Sam Penate (15 - 9) who hails from Tallahassee, USA and Charles Jernigan(1 - 5) from Buffalo, USA.  

Round 1: 

Penate finds the target with a jab.  
Penate switches the action to the outside and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Penate lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Penate lands a cross.  
Jernigan steps inside and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Jernigan attempts to land a jab, but Penate sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Penate steps away from his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.  
Jernigan advances into close range.  Penate lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Penate is on target with a cross.  Penate tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Penate pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Penate attempts to land a jab, but Jernigan slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Jernigan forces Penate to retreat onto the ropes.  Penate attempts to land a jab, but Jernigan blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Jernigan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent, but Penate drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Penate is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Penate feints a right, and then lands a jab.  
Jernigan walks his opponent down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Penate lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Penate steps to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Penate lands a ramrod jab.

Jernigan steps inside.  Penate lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Penate is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Penate sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Jernigan throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.

As they grapple, Penate pushes his forearm into Jernigan's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Penate to stop fouling.  
Penate steps to the outside and lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Penate lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Penate is on target with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.
