Goro Nomura vs Yasushi Hiraoka

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 18/03/2034 from Tokyo, Japan:

The Tokyo venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Goro Nomura (20(2) - 24) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Yasushi Hiraoka(0 - 2(1)) from Kyoto, Japan.  

Round 1: 

Hiraoka tries to land a right hook, but Nomura blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Nomura hits home with a solid cross.  
Nomura is looking to close the distance and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Nomura lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Nomura walks Hiraoka down, trapping him on the ropes.  Nomura throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Nomura is on target with a right uppercut to Hiraoka's body.  Nomura attempts to land a right uppercut, but Hiraoka slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Nomura steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Nomura ties up his opponent.  Nomura is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Nomura to stop fouling.  
Nomura pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a sharp right uppercut.  
Nomura lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Nomura attempts to land a right hook, but Hiraoka slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hiraoka finds the target with a jab.  
Nomura lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Nomura throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Nomura's body.  Hiraoka almost instantly recovers. 
Nomura advances into close range.  Hiraoka throws a right uppercut, but Nomura clinches his opponent.  Nomura is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Nomura drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  Nomura clinches his opponent.  Nomura uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Hiraoka's kidney. 
Nomura connects with a stinging left hook.  
Nomura digs in a sharp right uppercut to Hiraoka's body.  
Nomura steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Nomura gets on the inside and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  
Hiraoka lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Nomura is looking to close the distance.  Hiraoka throws a left hook, but Nomura holds on to his opponent.  Nomura leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Nomura tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Hiraoka behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Nomura to stop fouling.

Hiraoka tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a cross, but Nomura sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Nomura advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Nomura is on target with a right hook.  
Nomura lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Hiraoka tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Hiraoka throws a left hook, but Nomura holds on to his opponent.  Nomura uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Hiraoka behind the head. The referee warns Nomura and breaks the clinch.  
Nomura pivots to the left of his opponent, but Hiraoka is on target with a right hook.  
Nomura finds the target with a jab.  
Nomura closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Hiraoka almost instantly recovers. 
Nomura drives a potent right hook into Hiraoka's body.  HIRAOKA IS HURT!  Hiraoka recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Hiraoka switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  Hiraoka throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Nomura gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Nomura closes the distance.  Hiraoka throws a left hook, but Nomura clinches his opponent.  Nomura is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Nomura throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks Nomura's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Nomura advances into close range and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Nomura lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Nomura clinches his opponent.  Nomura tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Hiraoka behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Nomura to stop fouling.  
Nomura whips in a big right hook to his opponents ribs.  HIRAOKA HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  Nomura clinches his opponent.  Nomura leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Nomura to stop holding.  
Nomura lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Nomura attempts to land a right hook, but Hiraoka blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Nomura connects with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Hiraoka's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

The ref breaks Nomura's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Hiraoka almost instantly recovers. 
Nomura lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Nomura sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS HIRAOKA TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  Hiraoka recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Nomura drives a right hook into Hiraoka's body.  
Nomura steps inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Nomura quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Nomura gets on the inside and forces Hiraoka to retreat into the corner.  Nomura drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
Nomura lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Nomura is looking to force the stoppage!  Nomura whips in a spiteful right uppercut to Hiraoka's ribs.  HIRAOKA IS DOWN!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT HIRAOKA IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is Nomura!
