Barry Vaughn vs Dave Roller

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 18/01/2034 from Cedar Rapids, USA:

The Cedar Rapids venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Barry Vaughn (17 - 19(2)) who hails from Los Angeles, USA and Dave Roller(22(2) - 4) from Cedar Rapids, USA.  

Round 1: 

Roller gets on the inside.  Roller pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Vaughn throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Roller gets on the inside.  Vaughn throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Roller's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Vaughn pivots to the left of his opponent, but Roller lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Roller attempts to land a right hook, but Vaughn sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Vaughn sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Vaughn lands with a solid jab.  Vaughn attempts to land a jab, but Roller sidesteps and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Roller is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Vaughn tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Roller connects with a sharp left uppercut.  
Vaughn sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Vaughn steps away from his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Roller advances into close range.  Roller pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a solid right hook.  
Roller lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Roller lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Roller lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Vaughn is looking to close the distance.  Roller lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Roller lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Vaughn tries to land a jab, but Roller sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Roller closes the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Roller lands a right uppercut to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Vaughn tries to step out of his opponents range.  Roller hits home with a cross.  
Roller steps inside and manages to force Vaughn onto the ropes.  Roller lands a solid right uppercut.  
Roller sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Roller lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Roller holds on to his opponent.  Vaughn pushes his forearm into Roller's face.  The ref breaks Roller's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Roller pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Vaughn recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Vaughn steps to the outside.  Roller hits home with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Roller's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Roller switches the action to the outside.  Vaughn throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Roller attempts to land a jab, but Vaughn sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Roller connects with a cross.  Roller tries to land a jab, but Vaughn slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Vaughn switches the action to the outside.  Roller is on target with a solid cross.  
Vaughn lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Vaughn is on target with a ramrod jab.  
Roller lands a ramrod jab.  
Roller hits home with a sharp overhand left.  
Roller lands a spiteful overhand left.  IT LOOKS LIKE VAUGHN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Vaughn almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Roller lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Vaughn recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Vaughn advances into close range.  Vaughn pivots to the right of his opponent, but Roller digs in a sharp left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Vaughn attempts to land a jab, but Roller slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Roller feints a cross, and then DETONATES a FIERCE overhand right on his opponents face.  VAUGHN IS HURT!  Vaughn recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Vaughn lands a ramrod jab.  
Vaughn lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Vaughn lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Roller finds the target with a jab.  
Roller is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Vaughn tries to land a jab, but Roller dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Vaughn switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.

Roller hits home with a telling cross.  VAUGHN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Vaughn recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Vaughn contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Roller hits the target with a stiff jab.

Roller drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Vaughn throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a FEROCIOUS right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE VAUGHN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Some sustained pressure from Roller could be enough to finish Vaughn!  Roller lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES VAUGHN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Roller!
