Matt Sear vs Leighton Leishman

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 25/10/2033 from Savannah, USA:

The Savannah venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Matt Sear (17(2) - 10) who hails from Atlanta, USA and Leighton Leishman(2 - 0) from Savannah, USA.  

Round 1: 

Leishman advances into close range.  Sear backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Leishman is whaling away with hooks, but Sear keeps his defence tight.  
Sear steps to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Leishman tries to land a cross, but Sear sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Leishman is looking to close the distance.  Leishman pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Sear lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Sear lands a jab to the body, a cross to the body and a jab to the head.  
Sear lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Sear lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Sear lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Leishman is looking to close the distance.  Sear hits home with a left hook.  
Leishman sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Leishman attempts to land a left hook, but Sear blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Sear is looking to keep his distance.  Leishman lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Sear lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Sear clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Sear pushes his forearm into Leishman's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sear to stop fouling.  
Sear steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Sear lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Leishman steps inside.  Sear digs in a solid right hook to Leishman's body.  
Sear lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sear's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.

Sear hits home with an overhand right.  
Sear connects with a solid cross.  
Leishman steps inside and tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Sear strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Sear lands a cross to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Sear lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Sear is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Sear senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Leishman and just needs the right shot.  Sear lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND LEISHMAN IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Leishman now seems to have got his legs back.

Leishman gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Sear clinches his opponent.  Sear throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sear.  
Sear steps to the outside and lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
Sear lands a jab to Leishman's body.  
Sear connects with a cross.  
Sear lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Leishman is looking to close the distance.  Sear is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Sear is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Leishman is on target with a cross.  
Leishman lands a sharp cross.  
Sear lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  Sear tries to land a cross, but Leishman blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Leishman attempts to land an overhand right, but Sear sidesteps and counters with a powerful right uppercut to his opponents body.  LEISHMAN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Leishman steps inside.  Sear whips in a spiteful left uppercut to Leishman's body.  LEISHMAN IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  Leishman now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Leishman advances into close range.  Leishman sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Sear lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Leishman quickly recovers. 
Sear lands a cross.  
Leishman attempts to land a left hook, but Sear slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Leishman advances into close range.  Sear is on target with a telling right hook to Leishman's body.  LEISHMAN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  Sear clinches his opponent.  Sear is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Sear's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Leishman attempts to land a jab, but Sear sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sear connects with a sharp cross.

Sear tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a sharp cross.
