Oliver Uusihakimo vs Lassi Vataren

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 24/04/2033 from Turku, Finland:

The Turku venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Oliver Uusihakimo (9 - 18) who hails from Vantaa, Finland and Lassi Vataren(4 - 10) from Turku, Finland.  

Round 1: 

Uusihakimo closes the distance.  Uusihakimo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Vataren forces Uusihakimo to retreat onto the ropes.  Vataren lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Uusihakimo throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Vataren switches the action to the outside.  Uusihakimo hits home with an overhand left.  
Vataren sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Uusihakimo's ribcage.  
Vataren is looking to keep his distance.  Uusihakimo connects with a cross.  Uusihakimo throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Vataren lands a jab.  
Uusihakimo is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Vataren drives a left hook into Uusihakimo's liver.  Vataren tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.

Vataren is on target with a solid cross.  
Vataren forces Uusihakimo to retreat onto the ropes.  Vataren sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Uusihakimo tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Uusihakimo lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Vataren sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Uusihakimo tries to land a left hook, but Vataren blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Uusihakimo is on target with a jab.  
Vataren lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Uusihakimo forces Vataren to retreat onto the ropes.  Uusihakimo pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Uusihakimo advances into close range.  Vataren throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Uusihakimo time to recover.  
Uusihakimo manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Vataren throws a right uppercut, but Uusihakimo clinches his opponent.  Uusihakimo hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks Uusihakimo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
