Michael Markle vs Paul Tier

Boxing Daily Report from the Guyana National Finals 2033,  taking place on 26/03/2033 from Georgetown, Guyana:

The Georgetown venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Michael Markle (22 - 11) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Paul Tier(4 - 8) from Georgetown, Guyana.  

Round 1: 

Markle hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Markle gets on the inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Markle advances into close range and hits home with a firm left uppercut.  
Markle feints a left hook, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Markle steps inside and connects with a right uppercut.  
Tier throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Markle switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Markle lands with a stiff jab.  
Markle throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Markle quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Tier goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Markle to the neutral corner.  He warns Tier that continued fouling will result in a point deduction.  
Tier forces Markle to back into a corner.  Markle lands a jab.  
Tier pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a sharp right hook.  
Tier drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Tier throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
