Leggett Herard vs Matthew Purser

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 01/01/2031 from Mississauga, Canada:

The Mississauga venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Leggett Herard (23 - 24) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Matthew Purser(8(1) - 11) from Mississauga, Canada.  

Round 1: 

Herard tries to keep the action at long range.  Herard feints a left hook, and then lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Herard lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Purser walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Purser hits home with a right hook.  
Herard lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Purser is looking to close the distance.  Herard lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Herard steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand right.  
Herard finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Purser steps inside.  Herard lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Herard attempts to land a jab, but Purser blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Herard is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Purser steps inside and forces Herard to retreat onto the ropes.  Purser attempts to land a right uppercut, but Herard slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Herard switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Purser manages to force Herard onto the ropes.  Herard lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Purser lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Herard hits home with a cross.  
Herard lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Herard steps to the outside and hits the target with a stinging jab.
