Dave Sanders vs Sam Gemmill

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 06/09/2030 from Brisbane, Australia:

The Brisbane venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dave Sanders (54 - 4) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and Sam Gemmill(3 - 6) from Brisbane, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Gemmill steps to the outside.  Gemmill sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Sanders lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Sanders steps away from his opponent.  Sanders sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gemmill tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Gemmill closes the distance and is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Sanders feints a right hook, and then lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Sanders waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Gemmill lands a jab.  
Sanders feints a right hook, and then lands a cross, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
Gemmill goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Sanders time to recover.  
Gemmill pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a solid left hook.  
Sanders tries to keep the action at long range.  Sanders feints a jab, fooling Gemmill into launching a cross counter.  Sanders is waiting for the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Gemmill gets on the inside.  Gemmill sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Sanders tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gemmill lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Gemmill attempts to land a right hook, but Sanders slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Gemmill's ribcage.  
Gemmill throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Gemmill digs in a left hook to Sanders's liver.  
Gemmill advances into close range.  Sanders lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Sanders lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Gemmill gets on the inside.  Gemmill pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a stinging left hook.  
Gemmill closes the distance and is on target with a left uppercut to Sanders's body.  
Sanders is on target with a right uppercut to Gemmill's body.  
Gemmill manouvers Sanders onto the ropes.  Sanders attempts to land a left hook, but Gemmill slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sanders is looking to keep his distance.  Sanders feints a cross and triggers a left hook counter from Gemmill.  Sanders avoids the shot and counters with a cross.  
Sanders drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Gemmill attempts to land a jab, but Sanders slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gemmill cuts off the ring, trapping Sanders on the ropes.  Sanders lands a sharp jab.  Sanders tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Sanders's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid. Gemmill's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!

Gemmill lands an overhand right.  
Sanders tries to step out of his opponents range.  Gemmill lands a stiff jab.  
Sanders lands a cross.  
Gemmill pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.
