Alec Parcel vs Ian Mason

Boxing Daily Report from the New Zealand National Finals 2028,  taking place on 17/04/2028 from Waitakere, New Zealand:

The Waitakere venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Alec Parcel (4 - 8) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Ian Mason(23 - 24) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  

Round 1:

Mason pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  
Mason steps inside.  Mason quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mason attempts to land a left hook, but Parcel blocks the shot and counters with a solid right hook to Mason's ribs.  
Mason sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Mason manouvers Parcel onto the ropes.  Mason sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a solid cross.  
Parcel is looking to keep his distance and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Parcel is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right.  
Mason hits home with a stinging right uppercut.  
Mason forces Parcel to retreat into the red corner.  Mason drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.

Mason gets on the inside and manouvers Parcel into the corner.  Mason digs in a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.  Mason holds on to his opponent.  Mason pushes his forearm into Parcel's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mason.  
Parcel throws a left hook, but Mason holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Parcel pushes his forearm into Mason's face.  The referee warns Parcel and breaks the clinch.  
Mason connects with a right hook.  Mason throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Mason walks Parcel down, trapping him on the ropes.  Parcel hits home with a left hook.  
Mason hits home with a solid right hook.  
Parcel lands a cross.  
Parcel tries to keep the action at long range.  Mason connects with a cross.

Mason digs in a left uppercut to Parcel's liver.  Mason ties up his opponent.  Mason is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Mason's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Parcel switches the action to the outside.  Mason lands a stinging cross.
