Boxing Daily Report from the Costa Rica National Finals 2027,  taking place on 17/03/2027 from San Jose, Costa Rica:

The San Jose venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Cruz Muzquiz (36 - 27) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Rico Vazquez(13 - 8) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  

Round 1: 

Muzquiz is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Vazquez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Muzquiz lands with a hard jab.  Muzquiz tries to land a jab, but Vazquez slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.

Vazquez cuts off the ring, trapping Muzquiz on the ropes.  Vazquez lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Vazquez steps inside and digs in a left hook to Muzquiz's ribs.  
Vazquez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a sharp right hook.  
Vazquez advances into close range.  Muzquiz lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Muzquiz is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a spiteful jab.  
Muzquiz switches the action to the outside and lands three consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Muzquiz feints a jab, and then lands a cross to the head, a jab to the body and a jab to the head.  
Muzquiz switches the action to the outside.  Muzquiz stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Vazquez attempts to land a jab, but Muzquiz slips the shot and counters with a right hook.
