Mick Soulis vs John Lockey

Boxing Daily Report from the Nkrumah Promotions promoted show at Euan Barland Gym, Albuquerque,  taking place on 04/06/2038:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-New Mexico Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mick Soulis (6 - 12(3) - 2) who hails from Albuquerque, USA and John Lockey(13 - 3) from Albuquerque, USA.  Soulis weighed in at 237 pounds and 12 ounces, while Lockey weighed in at 228 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Harvey Prior, and the three ringside judges are Kris Lorimer, Josh Waddell and Gus Maddix.  

Round 1: 

Soulis gets on the inside.  Lockey connects with a stinging right hook.  Lockey holds on to his opponent.  Lockey pushes his forearm into Soulis's face.  The ref breaks Lockey's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lockey advances into close range and drives a left hook into Soulis's body.  
Soulis sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Lockey lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lockey advances into close range and drives a stinging left hook into Soulis's body.  
Soulis is on target with an overhand left.  
Soulis steps inside.  Lockey drives a solid right uppercut into Soulis's body.  
Soulis tries to step out of his opponents range.  Lockey sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Soulis hits home with an overhand left.  
Soulis is looking to keep his distance.  Lockey throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lockey snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.

Lockey closes the distance.  Lockey is on target with a right hook.  As Soulis tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Lockey dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Soulis gets on the inside.  Lockey lands a stinging right hook.  Lockey holds on to his opponent.  Lockey uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Soulis behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Lockey is on target with a sharp right hook.  Lockey tries to land a left hook, but Soulis blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Soulis quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lockey lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Lockey ties up his opponent.  Lockey tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Soulis's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Lockey pivots to the right of his opponent and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  
Lockey pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Lockey closes the distance and connects with a right uppercut.  
Lockey sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.
