Beltran Barrantes vs Mike Phillips

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Brickhouse Boxing Club, Tallahassee,  taking place on 30/10/2037:

Clearly Bos Firefighters have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Beltran Barrantes (2 - 0) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Mike Phillips(0 - 0) from Bridgeport, USA.  Both Barrantes and Phillips weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Swain, and the three ringside judges are Daniel Wright, Alano Gimenez and Vicente Llanas.  

Round 1: 

Barrantes lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Barrantes pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Phillips lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Barrantes advances into close range and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Phillips is on target with a cross.  
Barrantes is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Barrantes finds the target with a jab.  
Barrantes sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Barrantes pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Barrantes lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Barrantes retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Phillips steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.

Barrantes gets on the inside.  Phillips drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Phillips throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Phillips tries to land a left hook, but Barrantes sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Phillips sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Barrantes lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Barrantes holds on to his opponent.  Barrantes pushes his forearm into Phillips's face.  The referee warns Barrantes and breaks the clinch.  
Phillips throws a left uppercut, but Barrantes holds on to his opponent.  Phillips uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Barrantes's kidney. Barrantes is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Phillips is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Phillips about fouling.  
Barrantes hits home with a solid left hook.  Barrantes clinches his opponent.  Phillips leans on his opponent using all his weight. Barrantes uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Phillips behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  Barrantes throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Phillips lands a cross.  
Barrantes is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Barrantes clinches his opponent.  Phillips throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Barrantes lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Phillips's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Phillips's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Barrantes advances into close range.  Barrantes sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Barrantes lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head, KNOCKING PHILLIPS DOWN!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Barrantes!
