Ian Lanman vs Phil Vizard

Boxing Daily Report from the Canada National Finals 2039,  taking place on 14/03/2039 from Halifax, Canada:

The Halifax venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ian Lanman (33(6) - 20(1)) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Phil Vizard(2 - 4) from Quebec City, Canada.  

Round 1: 

Vizard pivots to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.

Vizard quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lanman attempts to land a jab, but Vizard parries the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Vizard feints a jab, tricking Lanman into countering with a left hook.  Vizard springs the trap and counters with  a cross.  
Lanman steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Lanman throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Lanman pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Vizard switches the action to the outside.  Lanman is on target with a jab.  
Lanman connects with a cross.  Lanman tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Vizard lands a stinging jab.  
Lanman advances into close range.  Vizard is on target with a solid left hook to Lanman's body.  
Lanman hits home with a stinging left uppercut.  
Lanman advances into close range and is on target with a firm right hook.  
Lanman steps inside and digs in a left uppercut to Vizard's body.  
Lanman quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Vizard throws a right hook, but Lanman holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Lanman pushes his forearm into Vizard's face.  The ref breaks Lanman's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Lanman lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lanman is on target with a firm left uppercut.  
Lanman digs in a powerful left uppercut to his opponents body.  VIZARD IS HURT!  Lanman ties up his opponent.  Lanman leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  Lanman attempts to land a right hook, but Vizard sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Lanman senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Lanman lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, a cross to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Lanman drives a telling left hook into Vizard's body.  VIZARD IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Vizard has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Vizard pivots to the side of his opponent.  Vizard tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Lanman digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.  Lanman ties up his opponent.  Lanman pushes his forearm into Vizard's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Lanman lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Vizard quickly recovers. 
Lanman forces Vizard to back into the ropes.  Vizard connects with a sharp right hook.  Lanman ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Lanman pushes his forearm into Vizard's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Lanman about fouling.  
Lanman connects with a solid cross.  Lanman attempts to land a jab, but Vizard blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Vizard sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Lanman digs in a left hook to Vizard's body.  
Lanman closes the distance and slams a mean right hook into Vizard's body.  VIZARD WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Lanman attempts to land a right hook, but Vizard dodges the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut to Lanman's ribs.  Vizard recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Vizard drives a left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Vizard pivots to the side of his opponent, but Lanman is on target with a ramrod jab.  
Lanman is looking to close the distance.  Lanman sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Lanman hits home with a firm right hook.  Lanman attempts to land a cross, but Vizard sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Vizard tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with a cross.  
Lanman closes the distance and drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Lanman lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Lanman digs in a firm right hook to Vizard's ribs.  
Lanman pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a firm right hook to Vizard's body.  
Vizard tries to land a cross, but Lanman slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Vizard lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.
